People ask why bother with a pre wedding shoot? Is there any point to it? We always suggest and advise you have a pre wedding shoot as this breaks the ice between yourselves and the photographer. You never know who your wedding photographer is until the actual wedding day, unless you have had a video call but still you haven't met them in person. It is a great way for the photographer to find out what you feel comfortable with, whether it be structured or you prefer more candid style. This is different for every couple, some couples prefer both styles so you have a bit of everything. Connection between yourself and the photographer is important as you don't wish to feel awkward as well as the photographer (as this can happen).

It's also a perfect opportunity to find out about the couple for the photographer and have a pleasant conversation and that way you have already built up that rapport with one another. We always find its a nicer way to tell the couple's story when there is an engagement shoot beforehand, that way you have already unfolded the story behind it all and sometimes you're in the location of where the story began.
